After beginning his career as a rare book and manuscript dealer on the West Coast, Chad served as Director of the History of Science & Technology department at M.S. Rau before joining Sotheby's in 2016 as a Senior Specialist. There, he launched landmark auctions in Space Exploration, Natural History, History of Science & Technology, and Hip Hop collectibles, setting new standards in the market. He has led numerous high-profile, record-setting sales and cultivated an exclusive international network of collectors, museums, and private clients. His expertise has helped secure prestigious consignments from institutions including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim, the Toledo Museum of Art, and The Israel Museum. A respected scholar and certified USPAP appraiser, Chad is a member of leading bibliographical and historical societies. Fluent in English and French, with reading proficiency in Latin, Spanish, and Italian, he is also a frequent contributor to major print and broadcast media, making him one of the most trusted names in the global luxury antiques and collectibles market.
